Bruschetta Bar

Hello everyone, happy Sunday and belated New Year! For part of my New Year’s celebrations I created a ‘Bruschetta Bar.’ It turned out even better than I expected and of course was delicious too!

I chose to have a lot of ingredients, so that people could pick and choose what they wanted. I’ll share the ingredients that I used, but you can add more if you would like to or take out the ones you don’t. Or try some new ingredients like I did!!

Ingredients:

-Artichoke Hearts
-Toasted Almonds
-Ricotta cheese with green onions and basil
Bruschetta tomato mixture (Post from the summer, follow link to view recipe)
-Parmesan cheese
-Olives
-Pears
-Arugula
-Prosciutto
-Pesto
-Balsamic Glaze
-Burrata (a cheese that’s made from mozzarella and cream = delicious!!)
-Soppressata
-Honey
-Bread (I grilled mine to get the pretty grill marks, but baking them in the oven works too)

Some of my favorite combinations were:

-Pears, parmesan cheese, and balsamic glaze or honey
-Burrata and tomato mixture
-The ricotta cheese mixture

    When we were in Italy the chef rubbed the bread with garlic. i don’t recall whether before or after grilling it but i think garlic is an essential part of bruschetta.
