Margherita Pizza

Hi everybody!  I thought I would share another one of my favorite pizza recipes.  I tried Margherita Pizza for the first time over the summer and loved it!  Whenever we have “make your own pizza night” at my house I typically chose to make this one.  It’s super easy and doesn’t take too many ingredients.  And seriously what beats fresh mozzarella!?!

Pizza Dough (We make our own)
Olive Oil
Tomatoes (I used canned for this time around, but typically use fresh.)
Basil leaves
Mozzarella Cheese

**Ingredient amounts depend on how big of a pizza you wish to make.

1.  Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

2.  Shape dough.  Bake crust in oven for about 3 minutes before adding the toppings.

3.  Spread olive oil on dough, add mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil leaves.

4.  Bake in oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.

Hope you enjoy!  Stay warm out there!

Kristen, the Margherita Pizza is the most preferred pizza in Italy. Also, most of the pizza’s are ordered by their standard names. My favorite is Diavola Pizza (the Devil) because it is has spicy sausage! Hope all is well cheers and keep the recipes coming! Cheers, Ed
