Waldorf Salad


Hello!  Lately I have been really into fruity spinach salads.  They are so yummy and super easy to make!  Here is my remake of the traditional Waldorf salad.  My recipe has fewer calories, total fat, etc. than the original recipe.  I didn’t use any salad dressing so that is one of the reasons why mine has fewer calories.  So, try the salad without dressing, but if you want to add a little you may but make sure you factor in the extra calories.  Another difference is that I used spinach instead of lettuce. It is has more vitamins and minerals.  Hope you enjoy my take on this yummy salad 🙂

The Old:
Mayonnaise, lemon juice, apples, celery, walnuts, raisins, and lettuce leaves

    Wow, cutting the fat by 2/3. I think the reason traditional Waldorf Salad was not my favorite was the mayonnaise and sugar, so without it I should really like this when I try it. Thanks you!
